Grab suspends GrabShare service

Grab Philippines announces suspension of its GrabShare services starting Friday, March 13, to combat the spread of the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).

In an advisory, Grab said its GrabShare services will be temporarily unavailable in Metro Manila and Cebu starting 12:00 noon on Friday, to help in efforts at "social distancing" as prescribed by Philippine health officials.

"Other Grab transport services will remain to be available to serve our commuting public," the company said.

"We would like to remind everyone to plan their trips prudently and take personal hygiene seriously," it pointed out.

Angkas, JoyRide also suspend operations in response to Metro Manila quarantine.
